In the 1986 the notorious magazine “The Economist” launched the BigMac index to measure how much it costs to buy the famous hamburger all over the world. A light way to approach to exchange-rate!

It has been absolutelyy successfull so the idea has been replaced for Starbucks coffee and the iPod too.

Nowadays an Index for the famous Champagne Veuve Clicquot was born.
This brand has been selected as widely appreciated and available. Moreover the index refers to the Brut sans année product (“basic” product common to all the maison in Champagne and made by a blend of different vintages), in order to not be influenced by each vintage quality (which could affect the price).

So please find here the results.
