Recycled Wine Design (ReWineD®) is the new project that will engage 9 italian students of the European Institute of Design (IED) of Torino city (in Piedmont)- in partnership with Italia Bellissima (network of Made in Italy architects and artisans) – with the aim of designing a beautiful but also functional creation only using winery scrap.

The idea has been launched by Sara Vezza, wine producer in Monforte d’Alba (Piedmont) who has already chosen sustainability and organic management for her own production since 2004. It was now time to deal with the few precious waste remaining: glass bottles, used caps, old barrels, wooden and cardboard boxes, rolls of labels. Thus, her notorious winery, Josetta Saffirio, has set up a scholarship for the student who will create the best project. The final exam will be, in fact, the presentation of the creations to a jury of designers, architects and journalists of the sector.

We look forward to discover the all creations on May the 4th, day of the awards ceremony.
