Chiara Giorleo has been working in the wine sector for more than 10 years.

She has worked in the press offices and the departments of PR, communication, events&hospitality for wineries such as Mastroberardino SpA and entities like the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Toronto and she has been a member of the staff of the Decanter World Wine Awards in London.

She is now freelance working as bilingual wine writer, wine critic and blogger with collaborations and publications in Italy, USA and Russia; she is a judge (and has judged) for Italian and international wine competitions such as IWC (International Wine Challenge) in London, Radici del Sud and Napoli Wine Challenge in Italy, Wine Blog Awards in the USA. She is Chair of the Italian Academy for the WBV – World’s Best Vineyards to visit (London);  as member of the Women&Wine association, she has judged at SMV – Selections Mondiales des Vins – Canada.

As wine expert, she organizes private wine tours, tastings and wine basic lessons in Italian and English. She is also Wine Educator and translator (Italian-English, English-Italian) in the wine sector.



Chiara has studied Wine Marketing&Sales at the Napa college in California, she is certified WSET L3 (Wine & Spirit Education Trust, level 3 – UK) and WSET DIPLOMA student in London; in Italy she is certified as sommelier and ‘Degustatore Ufficiale’ by AIS (Association of Italian Sommelier); member of the AIS itself and of the Women&Wine Italian Association.
