Chiara Giorleo has been working in the wine sector for more than 12 years.

She has worked in press offices and departments of PR, communication, events&hospitality in Italy, for example at Mastroberardino SpA winery, Canada, where she has worked at the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Toronto and UK, where she has been staff member of the Decanter World Wine Awards in London.

She is now a freelance bilingual wine writer, wine critic and blogger with collaborations and publications in Italy, USA and Russia; she is a judge for Italian and international wine competitions such as IWC (International Wine Challenge) in London and Chair of the Italian Academy for the wine tourism contest WBV – World’s Best Vineyards.

She is also Wine Educator and Translator (Italian-English, English-Italian) in the wine sector as well as wine leader for wine&food tours.

 

EDUCATION AND PARTNERSHIPS:

After a master degree in Economics, Chiara has studied Wine Marketing&Sales at the Napa college in California. She owns the WSET Level 4 DIPLOMA In Wines and Spirits and, in Italy, she is certified as Sommelier and Educator by AIS (Association of Italian Sommelier); member of the AIS itself and of the Italian Women&Wine Association.
