It is evident, already,  the success of the mediterrean food&wine fair Gustus held in Napoli from December the 4th to the 6th (2014). But these are not just words, because the government thinks of Naples as a reference point for the south and the center of Italy; this is why the event will be repeated in June with a special edition for the twinning with the Expo 2015.

Well, Napoli and Campania region in general, synthesize all styles, all tastes of the south and the center of Italy somehow: the mountains, the sea, trattorias, street food and fine restaurants along with tradition, popular culture, art and everything else. It will, therefore, lead to a common message and our excellence.

And still at the fair, the presentation of the 2015 edition guides published by Slow Food  association held: “Osterie of Italy” (guide to the best Italian taverns) and “Slow Wine” (one of the most important guides to Italian wines) with the participation of 2 campanian chef who prepared 2 recipes in the space devoted to the show-cooking. Not only that, some wineries have offered a taste of the award-winning wines.

The space dedicated to pizzerias increases and the guide provides the r

eaders with a special insert for pizzerias and street food, which -despite criticism- turns into a simple and virtuous start of a practice that reflects a strong national tradition with different shades in each region.

Even if they could seem rhetorical, I congratulate the entire group for the work done for the guides, a tool that I appreciate a lot having tested it over the years in different regions of Italy during my travels.
