First, Washington Post writes against Green Salad considered healthy but not nutritious enough even if its farming consumes a lot of resources!

Then, LaRepubblica (Italian national newspaper) answers stating the importance of green salad along with the rise of the sector which brings on the market of packaged green salad (clean and ready to eat) which includes 200 companies and represents 10% of the fruit and vegetable industry in Italy.

WHAT IS THE OPINION OF THE 2 NEWSPAPER ABOUT GREEN SALAD?!

What do you think about that? Why do not you leave a comment below!

In my opinion the both are pointing interesting elements out.

WHEN USA ARE RIGHT

WHEN ITALY IS RIGHT

Green salad itself is not properly nutritious being made of  95/97% of water (important issue if you read the following one) Green salad contains water and precious vitamins and fibers, moreover it plays a crucial role during the chewing process also contributing favorably to the fullness sensation
its farming is quite costly in an era when we should seriously need to better think about resources Wastefulness is a behavior, it is not a quality of a product; this is what we should fight
It is a wastefulness source: each year more than 450.000 tons are thrown away Green salad consumption is suggested by the most of the dietitians in the world even more than other products considered more nutritious because it considered a “functioning” food
According to some medical centers, green vegetables (especially if eaten raw) have caused 22% of diseases transmitted by food packaged green salad (clean and cut) make our life easier!

THERE IS SOMETHING THE 2 COUNTRIES AGREE ON REGARDING GREEN SALAD!

There is something the 2 countries agree about: pay attention to the (fat) condiments and, especially if you are on a diet, also when you order a (mix) salad at the restaurant as, beyond a couple of “green leaves”, it often contains a lot of fat products (sauces, cheese, salami)!

I only have some doubts regarding the packaged green salads because of the freshness and eventual preservatives but in Italy a new law has already been implemented last summer.

I would love to know your opinion, why do not you leave a comment below?
