This is only part of the ranking of this edition of the World’s Best Vineyards 2022, the international wine tourism contest that rewards the best wineries based on their hospitality, and the Italian names are already 6.

Yesterday, the 51-100 list has been revealed and it icludes well 6 Italian wineries: Ceretto (62) and Gaja (65), already rewarded in the past editions, along with new entries such as Villa Sandi (70), Tenuta Cavalier Pepe (74), Marchesi di Barolo (90) and Tenuta San Leonardo (97).

The WBV is the competition focused on wine tourism launched in London in 2019 which rewards the best wineries in the world in terms of  hospitality to also enhance the wine territories. As Italy Academy Chair I cannot hide my pride in seeing so many Italian names.

The Top 50 this year will be reveiled in Mendoza, Argentina on Oct 26 and I will not fail to share all details live on my FB and IG pages (Chiara Giorleo and Chiara Giorleo Wine Guide), as well as the complete ranking as soon as we have the complete Top100.

Absolute news: this year, in November, for the fisrt time we will celebrate the Italian wineries included in the Top100 in Tuscany in collaboration with the national wine tourism event Wine Destinations Italia.

Stay tuned!
