The point is that maybe the interaction wine-saliva has been, often, underestimated while it plays a crucial role during a wine tasting so the volume of the wine sip affect the tasting and it has been scientifically proved.
The University of Napoli (Campania region – southern Italy) has conducted a research based on Falanghina, local and very pleasant white wine, discovering how much the size of sip affects the wine’s taste.
|BIG SIPS||SMALL SIPS|
|help to release honey, berry and grapefruit flavours||help to release fruity and floreal note|
It could change the tasting approach, especially among the experts or the wine context, we’ll see.
What do you think, would this affect the wine competition?! Leave your opinion in the comment space below.
