I know it’s summer but I cannot believe you quit any red for 3 months?!

Well, this is the “king” of red wines given its tannic concentration but I cannot forget reds for so long. 😉

I have already written about Colle Di Saragano winery. But now I am happy to only write about their Sagrantino, the noble red of Umbria region (central Italy).

It appears concentrated as soon as I pour it in my glass revealing its own nature.

The bouquet is deep with notes of cherry liqueur as well as wet ground, black and pungent spice and toasted wood; on the final it shows an animal touch such as leather.

Good the texture, the wine is juicy and powerful, still young even if it is almost 10 years old! I love the refreshing final also made of small red fruits.

See you in some years…

I mean with this wine, of course!!
