After the Champagne’s shipments dropped in 2018 also driven by – according to Comité Champagnegilet jaunes’ demonstrations, the Chinese wine production dropped by 40% in 2018. China’s used to be the 7th biggest wine producers shifted to the 9th one. This info is even more negative important if we consider that the global wine production is, on the contrary, increasing.

The production started to decrease in 2013 because of the importation of foreign wines and the sad consequence is the discourage of the small producers who invest on quality in the regions of Ningxia, Xinjiang  and more.
