Féminalise is the world competition for wines, sake and – new this year – spirits which since 2007 has promoted an unique concept: exclusively professional women in the wine sector who taste and judge the all registered products. An absolutely current format if we consider that, already in Italy, in 2021 women surpassed men for the first time according to recent Wine Intelligence data on wine consumption.

To guarantee a final result, each sample is tasted by three women seated at different tables, who cannot communicate with each other.

The sixteenth edition of the contest, with already more than 5200 wines registered, will be held 6, 7 and 8 April 2022 at the Parc Floral in Paris. News are: the debut of the spirits category, the optimization of the tastings process thanks to the introduction of Riedel Performance glasses, the simplification of the evaluation process through the use of a dedicated app on a tablet.

After the Covid-19 restrictions, I will finally have the opportunity to join and discover more about the Parisian competition from the inside also through interviews.
