Untold is a new guide to the best Italian wines by Decanto with a contemporary format more focused on the territory as a whole and, hence, the hospitality, a captivating graphics. Here is the pay-off (“Untold – What has not yet been said about wine”).

I will be in the judging panels of this year’s edition, stay tuned. IN the meantime, please find here some more details.

“Untold – What has not yet been said about wine” – VOLUME II is the second edition of the Decanto guide to Italian wines.
After the success of the first edition, Untold evolves and transforms into an annual publication distributed, thanks to the partnership with Trenta Editore publisher, in the major Italian bookstores in hard cover and on the Apple and Google stores in the form of an App.
Untold tells the story of the wine districts by adopting a young and transmedia language, which is outlined through the horizontal comparison of wines tasted with the same grape variety and terroir.
The blind tasting, which will involve a panel of experts from all over Italy, will elect the most iconic wines of the different terroirs that will be awarded with the THREE CORKSCREWS, and those that will be able to stand out for originality, gastronomic quality, evolutionary potential and value for money.
This second volume will further direct attention to the Italian wine districts by offering wine tourism itineraries among wineries with a strong propensity for hospitality and restaurants with the best cellars through the Cellar Door award.
The evaluation of the wines was entrusted to 10 commissions made up of industry experts with transversal skills from all over Italy (Sommeliers from various associations, Oenologists, Journalists) who will meet in Salerno on May 24 and 25 at Zeta Enoteca to taste the 1,800 wines supplied by over 600 companies.
The best wines selected by the Untold guide will be presented on Friday, July 4 during the awards ceremony at the Hotel Raito in Vietri sul Mare, an occasion in which tasting tables and masterclasses will be open with some of the best wines of the Untold guide.
The publication of the paper guide is scheduled for October 2025, while the Untold App is already available for free on the Apple and Google stores with the wines of the previous edition.
