A good example to really get the hospitality in Calfornia: the educative path offered by the winery Del Dotto which includes sample barrel.

It is very interesting to discover what Del Dotto family has created: the public in California is not expert enough so it is risky, for the popularity of a which is of course fascinating but naturally still imperfect: the wine which is still aging in barrel.

This is the reason why they have decide to “adapt” the style of the production in order to obtain a sample barrel already pleasant for the consumer.

A strong and effective marketing strategy. The numbers have confirmed that: Del Dotto sells about 80% in the winery (mostly). Of this volume, about 15% of income derives directly from the wine tours and related fees, yet, the 85% derives from  wine sale in the wineries..
