Campania region shines on the international scene, this is maybe thanks to the several stars available all over the regional territory! I mean the Michelin stars, of course, supported by the relevant local and ancient traditions.

valva town

Osteria Abrustico restaurant, 1 Michelin star, launched in the 2011 is located in the province of Salerno, in Valva, tiny but charming town that deserves to be visited starting to the central square with an amazing view as well as Villa D’Ayala with a park of 18 hectares!

villa d’ayala and the park

After important experiences all over Italy, the brothers Cristian and Tomas Torsiello went back to their origins, in Valva, to bet on the quality and they succeded: Cristian, the chef and Tomas, the maître, guarantee attention and personality.

appetizer and bread

As soon as you arrive, you get your dose of cuddles with tasty and mixed appetizer as well as a great selection of bread. The restaurant is simple and classy, the atmosphere is relaxing.

starters

The starters are absolutely delicious. The trout (on the right) is delicate and perfectly balanced with the cauliflower. The soup of almonds and anchovies is wonderful: savory and correctly fat at once, finally refreshed by a mix of herbs. Sooo tasty!

first course

You can never miss pasta in Italy and this one is original for sure: filled with mozzarella that gives the acid touch, on artichoke’s sauce and herring which run after each other to find the perfect balanced.

second courses

Amazing the final courses: the lamb (top image) is tender and ‘juicy’ balanced by garlic sauce and green peppers, the guinea-fowl is savory, tender as well and enriched by truffles and raspberry.

The list of dessert is quite interesting too along with the small bites offered with the coffee.

See you soon guys!
