ABRUZZO IN BOLLA is the young event focused on sparkling wines held in Abruzzo region, Central Italy. I will be there to check it out so stay tuned but I am happy to share info and details about the valuable group behind it, the thematic portal Virtù Quotidiane led by the colleague Marco Signori.

The third edition of Abruzzo in Bolla, scheduled for next week in L’Aquila, from 21 to 23 June at Palazzo dell’Emiciclo, has reached almost fifty registrations from as many individual wineries and producer associations from all over Italy, which will give the opportunity to taste over two hundred labels.
The rich program of the three days includes masterclasses, talks, excellent gastronomic products and tasting tables in the presence of the producers, an aspect that makes the event dedicated to sparkling wines unique in its kind.
From the Langhe to Salento, from the Prosecco hills to the slopes of Etna, Abruzzo in Bolla will offer a cross-section of the different expressions of Italian sparkling wines, including historic and emerging companies, large companies and small wineries, those who have always made sparkling wines and those who have only started a few years ago.
With the possibility of discovering stories, territories and experiences, from volcanic wines to those refined under the sea waters, from those that rest in suggestive underground caves to innovative projects that have allowed us to discover new qualities concentrated in the tip of the bunches of grapes, between vines par excellence associated with sparkling wine production to others historically mistreated that today are being rediscovered and valorized and, thanks to bubbles, find new vocations.
It starts on Saturday, with a hopening party from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm with music, sparkling wines and mixology. Sunday is the highlight with tasting tables, talks and masterclasses. Monday is the day dedicated to operators in the Horeca sector.
